DuraGlass has been successfully used for cooling water intakes in a number of coastal power stations.
DuraGlass ideally suited to lining where thermal shock is encountered. As the glass flake vinyl ester system provides excellent adhesion and chemical resistance.
How it works…
So what makes DuraGlass different from other protective coatings for corrosion control?
As the name implies, DuraGlass contains glass flake fillers.
In an application of only 1mm thick there can be as many as 150 layers of overlapping glass flakes.
The distribution and nature of the glass flake throughout the coating has a reinforcing effect. It increases resistance to impact and abrasion, enhancing resistance to undercutting.
All of which means a range of tough, chemical resistant coatings.
DuraGlass Application
Glass flake vinyl ester coatings are flexible. It can be applied by either spray or trowel grade to suit the end use.
