Leighs Paints is committed to a programme of sustainability improvements.
We take a long-term approach to social and environmental issues so we can better manage costs, mitigate risks and develop appropriate products and services for our customers.
Our greatest asset, after our people, is the quality of our products.
Our protective coatings are designed to reduce the need for maintenance or repainting. Our fire protection technology also helps to protect buildings and allow sufficient time for evacuation.
By preserving the structures we paint, we lessen environmental damage from erosion and repainting; reduce consumption of scarce resources; and save money for our customers.
Our Sustainability Policy is a commitment to the values and direction needed to reduce our environmental impact and continuously invest in our people and community. By offering high quality products made with minimal environmental damage, expert technical advice from a company passionate about it's people and products that preserve and protects for the long-term, supporting our vision: 'to be our customers’ first choice'.
To make our Sustainability Vision a reality Leighs Paints intends to:
- Ensure that our people, customers and stakeholders are aware of our Sustainability Policy.
- Ensure all of our Strategy Teams at every level of the business aim to adopt sustainability objectives in accordance with our vision.
- Manage and measure long term reductions in our social and environmental impacts.
- Seek to educate and inform our people, customers and stakeholders about our Sustainability objectives.
- Endorse and encourage behaviour that maximises our drive towards sustainable objectives.
- Publicise our objectives and our path towards achieving them.
- Create an action plan for our sustainability objectives and commit to deliver that plan through our people.
- Through Team Enterprise, aim to have all of our people consider the impact of their daily work on our sustainability objectives.
Our Sustainability Policy will be reviewed regularly and updated to take into account changing circumstances, and to ensure opportunities for continuous improvement.
The Sustainability Programme will be managed by the Operations Safety Health and Environment Team (OSHE team). The objectives shall be set, and reviewed by the OSHE team.
