Surface Salt Contamination Levels
The following are Leighs Paints guidelines for the allowable level of surface salt contamination on the substrate prior to coating.
Note that this is an opinion only and we would always reserve the right to amend these levels if circumstances dictated this :-
- For immersion situations a maximum surface salt level of 5µg/cm²
- For exposed coastal or marine environments a maximum surface salt level of 7µg/cm²
- For inland rural or industrial atmospheric exposure a maximum surface salt level of 10µg/cm²
